What's Your Point Honey
Talk about a match made in heaven! The minute the filmmakers of "What’s Your Point, Honey?", Susan Toeffler and Amy Sewell, read about WomenCount, and visa versa, we were on the phone and on e-mail looking for ways to collaborate! If you were to ask each of our organizations what the "end game" is, we would say roughly the same thing: It’s about getting more women into the political process in a permanent and meaningful way.
We all believe that many of the critical issues so pervasive in the U.S. today are issues that women in power (read: politics) would focus on immediately and bring longer-term solutions to bear. Health care, child care, college tuition, public education, welfare reform, and equal pay – these are feminist issues.
